慶祝北京奧運倒數１００天

The time for the opening of Beijing Olympic is getting near. Today, there are only 100 days left for Beijing Olympic opening ceremony. It is the first time for China to organize such a large scale sport event. Being Chinese, we, Hong Kong people definitely pound of it.

During 2008 Beijing Olympic events, Hong Kong will have a chance to organize equestrian events. The atmosphere of Olympic will be brought to Hong Kong. On one hand, through taking part in this event, we can directly take part in this event, thus we can know more about equestrian activity. On the other hand, these Olympic events can attract many international equestrian lovers to visit Hong Kong. As we are citizens of Hong Kong, we have to prepare well, and ready to welcome the Olympic events as well as meeting the guests from everywhere of the world.

Firstly, Beijing Olympics will be held on the 8^th of August in next year. This Olympic event organizes in China’s capital. The world will focus on this city. Through television broadcast, Beijing’s history and culture can be shown to people over the world. Hong Kong people can have better understanding about this amazing city. Our patriotism to our country will be increased. Hong Kong people in different category and with different politic background support the organization of Beijing Olympics together, which can enhance the unity of Hong Kong people, and help creating a harmony society in Hong Kong.

Second, in 2008 Beijing Olympic games, Hong Kong helps organizing equestrian events. Experts of equestrian and equestrian lovers will gather in Hong Kong. Hong Kong people can have a chance to take part in this event. By watching the equestrian competition, we can deepen our understanding and know more about this noble sport activity. At the same time, we can develop our interest in the activity. Moreover, this is the first time for Hong Kong to co-organize Olympic event with mainland cities, which can show the image of excitement city of Hong Kong. At the same time, .it can connect people in mainland China and Hong Kong people together.

Third, the Olympic torch will pass through Hong Kong on the 2^nd of May. This is also the first time for the Olympic torch to pass through Hong Kong after 1964. Hong Kong is the first stop after the torch reaches China. This shows Hong Kong is face to overseas, and it is an important city of China too. It gives the meaning that Hong Kong is the door to enter mainland China. Besides, Olympic torch will pass through the street in Hong Kong. So that citizens can welcome the torch along the streets. This allows Hong Kong people to experience the atmosphere of Beijing Olympics in first hand. Because of this, citizens can have further understanding on sporting spirit, and enhance us to take part on sport activities actively. Therefore, our interests in doing sport activities are developed and we will eventually become healthier.

Beijing Olympics can bring lots of benefits to Hong Kong. Through this international event, Hong Kong can establish an image of Asian World city to overseas, strengthen its status in China. What’s more, Hong Kong people will be more united, active and healthy. Hong Kong people, please be ready, to welcome this valuable and important sport event!
